
Emirates Airline is the international airline of the United Arab Emirates, based in Dubai. Emirates is today one of the fastest growing airlines in the world.
The airline is owned by The Emirates Group and its main hub is Dubai International Airport. It runs scheduled passenger services, with almost 950 flights each week, covering 87 cities in 59 countries in Europe, North America, Middle East, Africa, India and Asia-Pacific. Cargo activities are taken in charge under the Emirates SkyCargo name. The main base of Emirates is Dubai International Airport.
Emirates was launched on October 25, 1985 with flights to Bombay, Delhi, and Karachi. The airlines started with a single Airbus A300 and a Boeing 737-200 that were leased from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Emirates airlines have a modern fleet of 92 aircrafts. Its fleet includes Boeing 777-200/300, Airbus A330 -200, Airbus A340-500, and Airbus A340-300. Emirates worldwide network spans over 80 cities. Emirates offers an extensive weekly schedule into India including, 19 flights from Mumbai, 7 flights from Delhi, 4 flights from Chennai, 8 flights from Hyderabad, 5 flights from Cochin and 8 flights from Thiruvananthapuram.
