British Airways announces new fares to London from India: British Airways have announced new fares on flights to London from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bangalore. The fares that came into effect from September 1, 2008, have gone down to Rs 9,990 plus taxes, fees and surcharges. Passengers can avail the low fare till October 13, 2008 for travel between September 1, 2008 to January 31, 2009. The new fare will also be applicable on the Hyderabad-London Heathrow route, once the Hyderabad route is launched on December 7, 2008. Fares are subject to availability and changes can be made at a charge of USD100. British Airways plans to have double daily services from Mumbai and Delhi, a daily service from Bangalore, five times a week service from Chennai and thrice a week service from Kolkata. Customers can book the tickets by logging on to ba.com or through travel agents.

Amanda Amos, Area Commercial Manager for South Asia, British Airways said, "This is a commitment to our Indian customers to offer our lowest ever fare and excellent value. We will, however, continue to offer our customers all the benefits they expect from British Airways at a lower fare."
